Biox001
Biox001 is a bioresin for the production of bioplastics from renewable sources and up to 100% biodegradable.
Bioplastic is an alternative to conventional plastic. Currently, 359 million tons of plastic are produced annually (European Bioplastics, 2019), with only 1% being a bioplastic.
Using the Biox001 in the production of bioplastics is possible on an industrial scale. In 2019, Biopolix was able to produce bioresin through an extrusion process. This means that the conventional plastic processing industry can use this biomaterial to produce bioplastics without the need to update their machinery.
The bioplastics market is booming, where new products and solutions are constantly launched in Brazil and abroad. However, many solutions demonstrate problems in large-scale production. Another problem is that these solutions use large amounts of food crops.
